EVERY MILE COUNTS

Every mile a truck drives wastes energy. Gravity recovers it.

A patented hydraulic system captures suspension motion, converts it to electricity onboard, and offloads the surplus to the facility at the end of every shift. The vehicle stops being only a cost. It becomes a distributed source of domestic energy production.

What we have measured, what we have modeled, and which is which

The numbers, labeled.

Every figure Gravity publishes carries one of three labels. Measured means instrumented hardware produced it. Modeled means a Tier-1 engineering simulation produced it. Unmeasured means we have not tested it yet and say so.

FigureStatusBasis
415 Wpeak electrical output Measured Instrumented closed-course testing on the trail prototype. Validates the complete conversion chain: suspension motion to hydraulic pressure to turbine to generator to battery. It is not a commercial output figure.
32 kWgross hydraulic capture, Class 8 Modeled Pratt Miller Engineering simulation on Peterbilt 589 road-profile data. An engineering figure, before conversion losses.
10 kWnet continuous electrical output, Class 8 Modeled After conversion losses. This is the commercial output figure used in all fleet and program planning.
20,000 kWhper vehicle, per year Modeled 10 kW net over a 2,000-hour annual duty cycle.
Class 8 outputfull-scale hardware Unmeasured No full-scale Class 8 hardware test has been conducted. Closing the gap between the measured prototype and the modeled tractor is the current engineering program.

5

Issued U.S. patents on the energy-harvesting suspension system and method, with protection in 19 countries. Sixth U.S. application pending.

Tier-1

Production-engineering path defined with Pratt Miller Engineering, whose program history spans motorsport, the U.S. Army, and DARPA.

Peterbilt

Letter of support on file from Peterbilt Motors, a PACCAR company, whose road-profile data underlies the Class 8 model.

Three functions in one pressurized volume.

The Gravity unit replaces the energy a suspension throws away as heat with energy it keeps. It generates power, returns fluid, and carries the vehicle's spring load in a single assembly, without driver intervention and within the manufacturer's suspension specification.

  1. Capture

Every bump, dip, and expansion joint displaces the suspension. That displacement drives hydraulic pumps and pressurizes fluid instead of heating a damper.

  2. Convert

Accumulators smooth the pulsed input. The pressurized fluid drives an impulse turbine and generator, and the output charges onboard lithium iron phosphate storage.

  3. Offload

At end of shift the vehicle connects to facility storage and hands over its surplus. A fleet of trucks becomes a fleet of power plants that already had to make the trip.

Fleet operators

Fuel is your largest controllable cost. Watch a working system produce power on a duty cycle you recognize, then decide.

Fleet

Government and defense

Distributed domestic energy production from vehicles already in service, and onboard power for deployed platforms without a trailer generator.

Government & Defense

Manufacturers

Retrofit data collected on your own platform de-risks the factory-fit decision. Licensing removes the capital barrier.
